In 1980, advertising in Kerala was still in its infancy: simplistic, predictable, often uninspired. A young researcher who wrote radio dramas for All India Radio believed it could do better. That conviction became SRAVIA.

Four decades, 4,000+ campaigns and 20+ national awards later, SRAVIA is one of Kerala’s most respected and enduring agencies. From homegrown names to global players, we make work that doesn’t just sell. It stays.

Our story

Five eras.
One voice.

Radio in 1980, television in 1987, print in 1992, outdoor by 1999 and digital in 2014. At every change of medium, SRAVIA was early, adapting, innovating and setting new standards.

Radio 1980

It started on air.

J.B. Mohan was a radio drama scriptwriter at All India Radio, tired of how flat radio ads sounded. SRAVIA began as a radio-first agency, and its early jingles for Malayala Manorama and the Kerala State Electricity Board were hummed in homes across the state.

Television 1987

Then the picture arrived.

Television came in 1987. Veteran actor Thilakan became a face of SRAVIA films, from the grandfather charmed by a Mr. Butler soda to the family elder who swore by one calendar.

Print 1992

A calendar became family.

The Manorama Calendar launched in 1992 and was relaunched in 1993 as a companion for daily life, with Panchangam, Muhurtham timings and even train schedules. More than three decades later it still hangs in Malayali homes.

Outdoor 1999

Out onto the street.

By 1999 the work had moved outdoors onto hoardings and highways, made to be read at speed and remembered. It still does: for Bhima’s Kattappana launch, the gold came out of the land itself.

Digital 2014

And now, every screen.

SRAVIA went digital in 2014 and now makes films for feeds, YouTube and AI pipelines. For Agappe, the AI-generated film was itself the proof of innovation and reached a six-figure audience.

Six briefs, six problems, six films that changed what people believed about a brand. Some are thirty years old and still remembered. Some sold out a store in a day.
